Look of the Day: Work

Working in an elementary school, I try to keep it comfortable, formal(ish), casual and... did I mention comfortable enough in case I'm crawling under tables or sitting "crisscross applesauce?"

Aside with being functional and semi-formal I try to keep it cool enough that when Mike comes home I don't look (too) frumpy or as he ever so politely has worded it "mature." I take my nightly Pinterest scrolls to try to stay with the latest styles, I say style in lieu of trendy ;)

Do you notice my two-tone arm party from somewhere, a little creativity heaven called *Pinterest* ring a bell?! The gold pave bangle was $3.99 from Charming Charlies and the pave gold chain bracelet is from J-Crew Factory on sale now! The black ballet flats that also have the chain look are from Target, circa last January but you can find similar ones here. The sweater and chambray button down were bought at a Banana Republic Outlet, you can find one similar in a variety of colors...but not the best bargain in town.

What's the point?

I have been an avid follower of several blogs for quite sometime. As I began to notice my iPad's "Blog" folder add up I thought, why not start one myself? It became amazing to me how frequently I would find myself checking in with complete strangers to read about the choices they make-whether it may be purses, shoes, A SALE, fabulous recipes, home decorating, or a dreamy vacation. The connection I felt towards these "strangers" was simply through telling the story of their lives.

Choosing to start a blog is not because I think my life is so fabulous, funny, or thrilling-although life is good. It's more of a personal journal of my day to day life. Being a teacher, wife and dog-mom sure is exciting and I will definitely have some stories to share...but mainly just me speaking my mind or spreading news about a fab bargain. My long term goal is to have some kind of following as the blogs I follow do and I would like to throw in some product reviews if that ever comes along.

With that said, I am TOTALLY up for getting any great advice! I hope to be blogging more as the summer approaches & school is OUT! :)

Thanks for stopping by & leave me your thoughts!

XOXO
