Sweet. Sweet. Summer.

Hello0o0o... anyone home?! (echo) Yes, yes I am in fact back! Was it me or did summer end as quick as it began? Summer is such a special time to me for catching up with friends and family that I do not get time to see throughout the school year, not to mention all the special events that usually happen in the summer...babies, concerts, birthdays, weddings, showers, vacations, etc. I was hoping to devote much more time to my newly started blog here, but hey, you only live once! I take summer seriously :) As I was not teaching this summer, I got a job at a summer camp for kids ages 3-12 and boy was it restless! I am back and ready to go. In the meantime, here is a blink of what my summer consisted of, lots of great life updates that I am happy to share with you! As we say goodbye to summer, we welcome fall which means: pumpkin spice coffee/lattes, a new & fresh school year, pumpkins, apple picking, haunted hayrides, front door fall decor (hello0oo Pinterest), fall fashion & boots, cider donuts, and football (dare I say it)....that's just to mention a few things! :) Comment and tell me what your FAVORITE fall fashion/decor is! We are welcoming BABY Kaiser this coming February! Such an exciting moment for us and to have shared with our family and friends! <3
I took a girls trip (and alcohol-free) to West Palm Beach, Florida! It was nice to be on a beach and have girl time!
We took a family vacation to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. It was amazing being with all my cousins and nieces and nephew, watching them all grow is so awesome, especially at a beach where we grew up playing as kids. We got our practice in! :)
We announced to family that IT'S A BOY! We are over the moon excited about having a baby boy. Eli is going to have a little brother and I am going to get to be the queen in a house full of guys!
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary! So many amazing things have come along in the past year.
I was asked to be a bridesmaid in my sister-in-laws wedding! Yay, so excited to look forward to a wedding and sharing their special day with them & celebrate!
XOXO

Look of the Day: Work

Working in an elementary school, I try to keep it comfortable, formal(ish), casual and... did I mention comfortable enough in case I'm crawling under tables or sitting "crisscross applesauce?"

Aside with being functional and semi-formal I try to keep it cool enough that when Mike comes home I don't look (too) frumpy or as he ever so politely has worded it "mature." I take my nightly Pinterest scrolls to try to stay with the latest styles, I say style in lieu of trendy ;)

Do you notice my two-tone arm party from somewhere, a little creativity heaven called *Pinterest* ring a bell?! The gold pave bangle was $3.99 from Charming Charlies and the pave gold chain bracelet is from J-Crew Factory on sale now! The black ballet flats that also have the chain look are from Target, circa last January but you can find similar ones here. The sweater and chambray button down were bought at a Banana Republic Outlet, you can find one similar in a variety of colors...but not the best bargain in town.

What's the point?

I have been an avid follower of several blogs for quite sometime. As I began to notice my iPad's "Blog" folder add up I thought, why not start one myself? It became amazing to me how frequently I would find myself checking in with complete strangers to read about the choices they make-whether it may be purses, shoes, A SALE, fabulous recipes, home decorating, or a dreamy vacation. The connection I felt towards these "strangers" was simply through telling the story of their lives.

Choosing to start a blog is not because I think my life is so fabulous, funny, or thrilling-although life is good. It's more of a personal journal of my day to day life. Being a teacher, wife and dog-mom sure is exciting and I will definitely have some stories to share...but mainly just me speaking my mind or spreading news about a fab bargain. My long term goal is to have some kind of following as the blogs I follow do and I would like to throw in some product reviews if that ever comes along.

With that said, I am TOTALLY up for getting any great advice! I hope to be blogging more as the summer approaches & school is OUT! :)

Thanks for stopping by & leave me your thoughts!

XOXO

Welcome Friends!

Hello & welcome to the new blog! After following many blogs of style, fashion, love & relationships, and kids, I have been inspired to begin my own blog journey. I am a New Yorker living in a world of chaos and craziness and wouldn't have it any other way!

I would love to share my day to day run in of life whether you may find it to be random rambles or a fab find from Target! Welcome to my life, grab a cup of tea, kick up your feet and stay a while. Stay tuned & check back!

XOXO
